The Miracle of Compassionate Hands and Welcoming Hearts

I don't know what I would have done without you. The girls at the Hospice House could not have been nicer... God walks the halls of that place and angels are all around.

The Courage to Care Capital Campaign
A Campaign to Support More Hospice Patients and Their Families in the Catawba Valley

Since the year 2000...
In order to meet the rising demand for services, PCHCV has embarked upon the Courage to Care capital campaign in order to build an additional 12-bed facility at the Main Campus.

Making more room

Architecturally and technologically integrated with the current patient care facilities, the rooms of the new Hospice Inpatient Facility will provide a peaceful, homelike environment for those needing care for end-stage illness. Comfortable and family-friendly, the 13,500-square-foot facility will have 12 private rooms with private baths, distinctive furnishings, and beautiful views. A dining room, meditation room, children's playroom, several porches, and conference space for family counseling will support the patient rooms, which may be visited by family members any time of day or night.

As with the current patient care facilities, the sole purpose of the new Inpatient Facility will be to assure a patient's positive quality of life - providing skilled medical and personal care every hour of every day. A dedicated, interdisciplinary team will also provide smiling companionship, emotional and spiritual support, and delicious nourishing meals. The Inpatient Facility will let our community's most seriously ill patients and their families rest easy and focus on what matters most - returning home to familiar surroundings as soon as possible.

Reaching the goal

We're close to meeting our goal of $2.5 million. We need your help to make those last crucial dollars that provide the very best environment for our patients. All donations are tax deductible.

PCHCV asks citizens, businesses, and foundations of Catawba County and the surrounding communities to give generously to support the expansion of the inpatient facilities. Through a pledge of cash, stock, appreciated securities, real estate or other properties, an individual or business can help PCHCV offer the very best end of life care to everyone in the Catawba Valley.

A flexible giving schedule allows donors to space their pledges over a three-year period, maximizing contributions and minimizing personal financial strain.

For information on pledging to the capital campaign, please call the campaign office at 828/466-0466, ext. 3223. To donate now with your Visa or Mastercard, click here to go to the credit card donation page. Please type "Courage to Care" in the "Memorial Name(s)" line  on the donation page.
